Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how DayOff (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a sole proprietorship operated by Robin Atalan, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile applications. It covers yawn and Orka (each an “App”).
We do not sell your personal information and we do not run advertising.
yawn
Account
yawn creates an anonymous account for you in the background so your data can be synced. This account contains no personal identifiers – no name, no e-mail address, no phone number. You are not asked to sign up and there is nothing to log in to.
Data You Create in the App
- Alarms: the times, weekdays, labels, sounds, and the mission type you picked for each alarm.
- Mission results: which morning you completed a mission, at what hour, with which mission type, and the number of the stamp you earned.
- Device record: a randomly generated device identifier, used to keep your data in sync between app launches.
Camera
To end an alarm, yawn counts your push-ups or squats using the front camera. The camera feed is processed entirely on your device with Apple’s Vision framework, which detects body-pose points in the live image. Nothing is recorded, nothing is written to your photo library, and no image data is transmitted to us or to any third party. The camera is only active while a mission is running.
How We Use It
- To ring your alarms and run the mission that turns them off.
- To sync your alarms, mission results, and stamps between sessions.
- To show your progress, streak, and stamp board.
Deletion
You can delete everything at any time from within the App under Profile > Delete all data. Your alarms, mission results, and stamps are then permanently removed from our servers and from your device.
Orka
Information You Provide
- Account information: when you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and e-mail address, if you choose to share it. You may also use the App without an Apple account.
- Learning data: words you save, flashcard review results, mastery levels, and the learning preferences you select during onboarding.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage statistics: aggregated data such as the number of videos watched, words saved, flashcard reviews, learning streaks, and last active date.
- Device information: basic device information necessary for the functioning of the App, such as device type and operating system version.
How We Use It
- To provide the App’s core functionality – saving vocabulary, reviewing flashcards, and tracking progress.
- To sync your learning data across sessions and devices.
- To generate word explanations and translations using artificial intelligence. The text of words you look up is sent to OpenAI’s API for processing.
- To improve the App and develop new features.
Deletion
You can delete all your data at any time from within the App under Profile > Delete all data. Your vocabulary, statistics, and progress are then permanently removed from our servers.
Purchases
If you take out a subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple. We receive an anonymous subscriber identifier and the status of your subscription through RevenueCat. We never receive your payment details.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase – secure cloud storage for the data described above. Subject to Supabase’s Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat – manages subscriptions and in-app purchases. Subject to RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
- OpenAI (Orka only) – generates word explanations. Subject to OpenAI’s Privacy Policy.
- Apple – handles payments, Sign in with Apple, AlarmKit alarms, and camera access. Subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase servers and protected by row-level security, so each account can only read and write its own rows. Authentication tokens are stored locally in the device Keychain. We use industry-standard security measures, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Deleting your data in the App removes it from our servers immediately.
Children’s Privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict processing.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
Because yawn accounts are anonymous, we may need information from you – such as the device identifier the App shows in its settings – to locate your data. Deleting your data in the App achieves the same result immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy.
